This could show the opposite, you know: a free service may not have enough resources to deliver a good experience to many users.

I agree it could, but for once in my life, I'm being optimistic. And I think Sony's gonna put enough coin behind it to be at least as good as Live is now

Home will never do a damn thing to Live.... BEST CASE SCENARIO: Home is such a success that Microsoft's next console doesn't charge for its version of Live (assuming Home comes out before then). 360 will always do so.
