...

That's actually pretty damn funny. The people on the 1up podcasts have had good things to say about the game.

If it's even close to MvC, I'll be happy

it won't be but the build they had at comic-con was quite entertaining and more just keeps coming to make me want it....

Entertaining in a "hey, that's a cool fatality" way, or entertaining in a "wow, this game has really good gameplay" way?

I mean in terms of gameplay. What made the Vs series so good is the amazingly well-balanced gameplay

That's a total lie. The Capcom characters were mostly useless, save a few characters.

Besides, we are taking about Mortal Kombat here. Good gameplay usually doesn't follow here.

Yeah, Marvel vs Capcom 2 was hardly balanced, but it was absurdly fun no matter what team combo you came up with.

It was quite balanced, actually. If you knew how to use the characters, you could use anyone to beat anyone. Only Jill ended up being unbalanced, but that's it. It was really a lot deeper than it seemed to be

You really don't know what you're talking about. Most of the Capcom characters, especially the Street Fighter characters were crap. Marvel dominated because their skills were tailored to the MvC style of gameplay. SF and many of the others were basically imported from the other games, and it just didn't jive with the longer range style of combat.
