DS2 announcement next year?

Kotaku ran an article which essentially states that there is a rumoured announcement for a new DS next year. Included features will be two touch screens (instead of just the one) and bigger screens. Though the article says nothing at all about anything else, I would say it is safe to assume more powerful chips inside as well. With Apple now having their iPhone available for $199 (that's with the 8GBs of storage and a 620Mhz cpu, and a very high quality touch screen) it is possible that the new DS may have capabilities along those lines.
Next Christmas sounds about right for a DS2 release, the original DS is sitting on 80 million sales currently; and even though sales are incredibly strong in Europe and North America, the market is relatively saturated in Japan... The North American and European markets will eventually hit that point as well.
