LBP is as crappy as launch PS3

So apparently when Littlebig Planet launches it will not have the online level creator inside of it. The game that was being marketed almost entirely on the ability to share your crap will not have any crap sharing abilities when it comes out of the gate. It just reminded me of how crappy the PS3 and PSP were when they were both initially released. Now they've got tons of useless garbage on them and not so many games, and when the games DO come out, they need to wait to get updated so they work right? LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

I'ma still get it though.

At least the in-person level creation is still there. If I had a PS3, I'd be getting this game for sure.

This is one of the few games for the PS3 I'm looking forward to. I think it'll still be a neat game to play through.

The PS3 (and PS2) and PSP did have brutal launches (and, really, entire first year libraries) but the PSP is worth it now. There are tons of pretty solid titles on it and any one person would have at least a dozen "must haves" unless you only like a small subset of games. Couple that with its ability to play your downloaded video and mp3s and it's worth the current asking price.

PS3 on the other hand is not. Even now, there's only one "must have" in MGS4 and a few "very solid titles" including Uncharted and Resistence (I already own Time Crisis 4 and Eye of Judgement so for me they would be in there as well). I do like the PSN (I think it's actually better than the Marketplace, at least until the fall update comes out) and would get Little Big Planet immediately if I had the system. But for the amount you need to pay for the system? Not worth it yet, particularly when you can get the vast majority of the "good" games on 360 at half the system price, it's really not worth it unless you have money to burn

To clarify, the only thing you won't be able to do is create a new level with other friends online. You can still create (with others offline) and upload and share, you just can't create online

Uhhh, no. The only similarity is the ability to build and share levels, but even N+ has that. (I have some neat levels for that game, too.)

Also, I laugh at the people who bought a PS3, once again.

Blast Works you design everything, levels, enemies, character, upgrades, etc... You can draw them however you like using the editor. I don't really know a lot about Little Big Planet, but by the trailer it looked like Yoshi's Story meets Blast Works; might be interesting, I don't know.
