Shit, that's the model I was waiting for as well. Looks like I may just wait for PSP-2, I am guessing it will be announced at the next GDC.

I was going to get one as well to replace my PSP2000 with the busted display. Guess I'd better get one of those before they're phased out.

Or maybe this isn't as big a problem as people are making it out to be.

It kind of sounds like the original complaints with HD.... that basically the LCD is so much better that now you can see imperfections with the game graphics that wasn't noticeably on the old, less bright screen. Kind of like complaining that with HD channels you can see the anchor's makeup. What could Sony even do about it, blur the thing? It doesn't look that bad, and only in some games. I would think the improvements to this version would outweigh a minor graphical annoyance on some games.

Or just like SD channels look like shit on an HD TV. Give the developers time to catch up and everything will be fine.

Except I don't think in this case it's a software programming problem where stuff was programmed in SD but now it's showing in HD. Seems to be more the way the interlaced lines are displayed being distorted on the new screen. I ain't no techie but that's what I got from it.

Sony just feels it's too small a problem to recall everything and change production now.
