Nintendo: Wii Fit = GE007 effect + Wii breaks sales record

For anyone else who is interested: an update on sales info in regards to Nintendo. Plus a bit of a sales history.
Wii Fit: Not only has Wii Fit been shown to have a long shelf life, but NPD data is actually showing that Wii Fit sales are generally trending upwards. This may be a supply thing.
When I say Goldeneye effect, I mean that sales trend upwards rather than downwards for a portion of time. This happened with Goldeneye 007, it began with fairly good sales, but saw higher sales as time went forward.
Sales Records:
Wii Fit's sales may be a supply thing, or it may have something to do with Wii breaking sales records again (This is the third time the non-holiday monthly hardware sales record bar has been set higher this year. Twice with Wii and once with the DS). It currently sits at 803,000 units. Before this year, the previous record sat at 690,000 from the PS2 in June 2002; far higher than anything else until 2008 (540K was the next highest sales). It was broken by the Wii March 2008 with 721,000 sold, DS in June with 783,000 sold, and Wii in October with 803,000.
It will be interesting to see how the Holiday Shopping season shapes up, I think there may be a Wii shortage by the beginning of December, so now might be a good time to scoop some up to make a few bucks on Ebay.
