It uses the Dead Rising 1 engine.

internet news rumours this game to have no camera in it (also, no previous mr.main character). I thought the whole camera thing was lame. Also, he ran funny because he was always holding onto his camera. I hope this one is a lot more free roaming than the previous instalment.

I loved the hell out of the first Dead Rising. I thought it had a VERY clever and actually fairly intelligent plot, an interesting main lead, and mindless, zombie-crunching fun.
