if you really wanted to be poor you could have done like I did and bought Absolute Watchmen

You bought Persona 3 Fes, Persona 4 and Oblivion all at once? Yeah, that's a lot of money, but I'm thinking more about time.

Oh I realize I'll not be playing everything for some time. I've been buy-curious about Oblivion ever since playing and loving Fallout, and the GOTY edition was only $30. Odin Sphere and P3 were only $20 and $30, pretty cheap investments.
The Wire and Six Feet Under were by far the biggest deals at 67% retail price. The Wire set is pretty bland while SFU is packed with bonus goods.
Getting my entertainment on the cheap while I can. Y'know... RECESSION ECONOMIC CRISIS MARKET COLLAPSE DOOMSDAY and all that.'
The only package I'm waiting on now is the GameSpite book which I ordered in uh... November?
Several edits later...
Oh yeah, dey got dis game rite? It called Braid. If you like to drink and get drunk or smoke and get high, dis game for you. Now 800 points. I got it too.

Also, don't lie: it felt really good laying all of that out on the table, fanning out the DVDs, arranging the games in some sensical order and choosing Watchmen as a centerpiece.

Weird, I downloaded Braid on Monday night and it was only 800 points. I could have swore it was still listed at 800 points yesterday when I was logged in.

Yeah I've been bad lately as well.
Street Fighter, Dawn of War, Star Ocean, RE5 in a couple of weeks.

I am poor 'cause my work is cutting my hours to a ridiculous degree.
Though I fully support your choices of money-wasters, though I didn't much like Odin Sphere. Yeah, it had a cool storyline, but god DAMN. Repetition and a fairly dull side-scrolling combat engine did not deliver much enjoyment for me.

RE5, ugh. I'm running out of games to trade in!

To everyone who liked Odin Sphere, there's a spiritual sequel coming to the Wii (sorry Kali, Sine, Tess) called Murumasa The Demon Blade (or something like that). It's developed by Vanillware as well and is all 2D.

And you happen to find a cute picture of Claire to put in there.

Yeah, same thing here, but the music and artwork is fantastic. Some of Iwata/Sakimoto's best work since the FFT OST.
Actually, the repetitive combat wasn't really what bored me, but it was the fucking item management. Totally screwed up the pace. It seemed like every battle, I had to condense my items again and again, then pick up the items. Then I had that little food combining thing for boosting stats, but it just became a pain to manage.
Also, just fucking pick up Braid. Then my FAQ would actually have some relevance. (That and it's an awesome game.)

Co-sign. I hope you're not doing anything for the next whole rest of your life, forever! I've seen people disappear for up to a year into Oblivion alone.

Persona 4, however, is significantly LESS of a time sink than FES. Since the stories are seperate, for your sanity, I would reccomend playing Persona 4 first and 3 after (though be warned this will make you feel as if the gameplay is degrading).

Oblivion ain't THAT bad. My bud is crazy and has put in over 200 hours into it having completed all of the guilds and is almost done the game but you can probably do all that in about 80 hours if you don't fuck around.

I don't think I'm even half way through P4. These games will keep me interested for months. Kinda tired of keeping up with what's new.
