It's $5 on steam this weekend to hype you up for its sequel. It's certainly not the greatest game of all time, but if we all get it we can garner some value out of its multiplayer. I'm sure that any individual who was born in a log cabin and later founded the republican party would certainly use his own visage to purchase it.

Play it with me?

No!

I might play LP2 with you when that's released. It looks like it could be a ton of co-op fun as long as there's not too much mech porn.

I bought it Friday. Haven't played it yet. Let me know a day and time for some multiplayer.

I rented that game for Xbox when it came out... HATED IT. You'd have to pay me $5 to play it

So I played Lost Planet for a bit tonight.

It felt pretty good starting out. The only gripe through the "tutorial" type phase is that the control instructions were for a 360 controller. No really a big deal. Just a minor annoyance.

Finished the Intro. Not bad. No complaints. Felt pretty good.

The first mission seemed easy enough. Was having a good time. Then I got to this "boss" type guy. I unloaded like 500 rounds from a gatling gun and 10 rockets and still only took maybe 25% of this guys health before I died. After dying I stopped playing. That one point made me not want to play anymore tonight and I doubt I'll pick it back up again anytime in the near future. I have five or six other "great" games I could be playing rather than get by really easy until I get to a boss and get pwned.

The difficulty just didn't seem right. I like a game that has a consistent flow to it. To me, its frustrating to be doing really well and then get to roadblocks that take lots of time to overcome.

it's not a great game by any means. It's a fun $5 multiplayer romp for that price, though.

So after I was properly intoxicated last night I decided to give it another shot. Beat the guy I was stuck on. Played for another hour or so. I was pretty much just pissed off that I was stuck. And for some reason I seem to be able to figure out things I'm stuck on after I get a few drinks in me. I've also caught on the the fact that you must shoot shit where to glowing thermal stuff is located on their body. They die much faster this way.
