Anyone else here playing this game? I have only played through the first mission so far, but I am finding it very enjoyable. Camera could have used a bit of work, but other than that the game is excelent ^_^ Its so graphic you cant help but find it funny, and on top of that the running commentary that the announcers do as you are fighting your way through the game is hillarious ^_^

I just saw Gametrailers.com's review for it, looks pretty awesome.

I cant wait to play more of it ^_^ I am getting some service done on my mother in laws car right now, but I am thinking of skiping tonights raid in WoW in order to play more of it. Hard to decide^_^ I particularly like the commentary when you get the nail bat.

I think Sine and Kali should chalk this one up as another perfect example of nothing to play for the hardcores on the Wii. Just toss it up there on the rest of the overflowing pile :-)

Really? Cause I heard this is making quite the stir since it's one of the first real mature hardcore games for the Wii. Where's this "overflowing pile" of exclusive Wii titles that cater to the same audience as Mad World?

In the gaming community yes. In the parental community it's causing a stir cause "ZOMG a mature game for the Wii?! But but the children!" as if they'd never expected / heard of a violent game for the wii.

You know, it's weird, but Nintendo strikes me as MORE relaxed about that than they used to be.

I still think the most surprising "mature" Nintendo experience ever was the part where Sylvia makes out with her double at the beginning of Viewtiful Joe, if you beat it as Joe and play as Sylvia. Lesbian makeout scenes are not usually on Nintendo's approved list.

I really still half-wonder if the only reason they let that past the censors is that the game was so freaking hard that nobody in QA actually ever got there. And man, I played that game hardcore. I actually even beat it as Sylvia, which is next to impossible, and got all the way up to that fire boss with Alastor before I just gave up. Viewtiful Joe and Devil May Cry's "hard" modes are still unparalleled in terms of being so reamingly difficult that you are driven to padded-wall insanity - though I think playing as Tofu in Resident Evil 3 might be up there.

Btw, checked out the trailer.

Not really my thing. I've never liked the gratuitous stylized-violence kind of games. But it looks very well-done.

Of my games which are M-Rated:

Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Scarface: The World is Yours
Madworld
House of the Dead: Overkill
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
No More Heroes

So it's not like an M-Rated game is anything new on the console that's going to shock anyone.

As previously discussed, not all games for the "hardcore" have to be rated M.

How many Mario games use profanity? Almost exclusively, it's "hardcore" (stop bitching about the term, it's the easiest one) games made for an adult audience that even dare.

Take the profanity out and this game is still evidence that there's still stuff for the "hardcore" to play on the Wii.

Because you can list, what, 6 games on the console since it was released 2 1/2 years ago? That's about the # of worthwhile titles on the PS3 and that's not a compliment.

What's obvious is that proving me wrong would simply require listing this "pile" of mature games that are Wii exclusives that you both keep talking about. So far I have:

1) No More Heroes
2) Mad World
3) House of the Dead

Going by your list earlier... Godfather, Resident Evil and Scarface don't count as they're platform independent.

I said hardcore, not mature. I was simply saying that "mature" games tend to cater to the hardcore, particularly the ones that appear on the Wii.

You may want to check out the Overkill soundtrack. I would argue it as one of the best on the system at the least. It's more or less 70's/80's style music that sounds contemporary. There's also a nice diversity too. I get somewhat of a Shadowrun vibe from it. I haven't heard a lot of MadWorld just yet.
