Finally got a PS3

After over a year of trying on Kijiji, I was finally able to find someone who wasn't trying to sell their used PS3 for retail price less tax. I couldn't believe how much people were asking for a used one. Great thing is, this is the Motorstorm 80GB one so it's got the software backwards compatibility. Seemed to work well with the cross-section of PS2 games I tried. No need to get a Slim PS2 anymore.

I updated my Friends code for the PS3 in the sticky. I'll try to add some of you in the next couple of days. If you don't hear from me, please send me an invite. And for those of you who haven't updated the sticky (Eric, I don't see your code on there), please send me an invite if you care to as well.

The DLC I've been thinking of are:

Noby Noby Boy - it's only $5 so no complaints on the price
Super Stardust HD
Echochrome
Pixeljunk 1 and 2
Everyday Shooter
Calling All Cars

Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I also grabbed the Metal Gear encyclopedia immediately. Although now I'll have to go through the game again since my saved game is on my bud's PS3. Oh no, I have to play the best game of this generation again. The horror.....(sarcasm alert!)

I also like the fact I'm using real money to buy stuff. I'm sick of keeping track of points and having some that are "wasted". The flipside is that I can't use my trade-in magic to get the games for less but I'll take that trade anytime.

I was strongly debating whether or not to trade either RE5 or SF4 for PS3 versions and switch my SF arcade stick from 360 to PS3. But I know more people with the 360 versions and I have enough of those 1-month cards from GTA4 to carry me through June so I'll be done playing those games (mostly) by then. Also, considering how crappy the 360 controller is for SF4, I'm willing to bet the 360 stick is going to actually be worth more in the future.

Warhawk is on the cheap these days ($20), Pixeljunk monsters is fun, eden is less. Grab flower for blotus's sake. If you pick up killzone 2, let me know.

I got myself a banned edition back when the game came out. I actually owned 5 PS3 games before buying the system. They are:

Time Crisis 4 with Guncon
Eye of Judgement w/ camera
Disgaea 3 (set from Rosenqueen)
Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition
Little Big Planet - banned/recalled edition w/ Koran words

The games that are definitely on my radar and I will pick up for a decent price used are:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (it's still $40 used right now so I'll wait)
Resistance 1 (if I like it, I may go for #2; #1 is only $10-15 used right now)
Warhawk - maybe
God of War 3 later this year

Not really sure what else is worth it on the system (which is why it took me so long to get one). I have pretty much all of the big multiplatform releases on the 360 already.

Oh, and The Last Man sounds like a cool downloadable game too.
