I can't get enough of this game all the sudden. I picked it back up a month ago or so for the heck of it, and since then I've been addicted to it. I blame those damned unlockable weapon achievements, I keep working towards unlocking them all. The first of the weapons is always kinda throwaway, but the 2nd weapon is the best. I have the 2nd weapon for pyro (backburner-- flamethrower that does 100% crits from behind) and just got the 1st weapon for Heavy (sandvich) and Medic (health leeching syringe gun).

I used to play only pyro and engineer, but heavy and medics are appealing to me more often now. Where're all you losers who have TF2 and don't play (glares at Bovine)?? Shellie's the only one cool enough to play ;)

I got a ton of the pyro achievements and got all the special equipment. In like one night. This is why I don't join in for TF2. I can't stop playing and I'm trying to go to school here! :P

Hopefully the engineer patch doesn't come out until the summer or else my grades are fucked.

Never heard of a little something called self discipline, eh buddy? That's what I love about TF2-- you can play for 5 minutes or 5 hours, it's up to you.

I think it tells you in the inventory section of the main menu where you can look at the equipment loadouts?

In any case you get them with the achievement milestones if memory serves.

They all take quite a bit of playing to get. I tended to get them in waves. Nothing for an extremely long time and then like half a dozen in a single round.

There are 3 achievements for getting X # of achievements in that class. It's 10, 16, and 21 achievements. What you get for each isn't explained there though, I had to look on the web.

Best way to look at them is look at the Achievements in the main menu and then sort by the class you want to unlock. I found that a lot of them you need to KNOW about in order to try to get them, otherwise it'll only be by accident that you get them.

I just got the 3rd unlock for Pyro... and it was a new axe? I am confused... I thought the 3rd weapon was another pyro gun that caused knockback. If that's not the case then how DO you get that?

1st unlock: new 2ndary weapon
2nd unlock: new primary weapon
3rd unlock: new melee weapon

Bovine I saw you got your first unlock for medic-- that healing syringe gun is pretty handy

The axe does a helluva lot of damage to enemies on fire... It might cause knockback, too? But, yeah, it's the backburner, flare gun, and the axe.

Maybe you're thinking of the new scout shotgun?

Nah, there's a couple achievements based on using compressor air to reflect rockets and explosives. It must be something you can do with a normal flamethrower that I never noticed?

yeah, original flamethrower does the blowback. It pushes people and reflects projectiles. Good luck trying to get that one. I find most of the achievements to be seemingly insurmountable.

Yeah, it's the original flamethrower. It's great for stickies from demomen but I was never able to master blowing away rockets fired at me. I've only done it once and it wasn't on purpose lol

As I said above, if you know what to go for it's not that hard. Once I learned this I was able to get them without tooo much difficulty. Sometimes they're just dumb luck, too. My 22nd for Pyro was someone I had managed to dominate leaving the game (Barbequed), I didn't even expect to get that one. I have all 3 unlocks for pyro, first 2 for heavy, and first 1 for medic. I need to start on scout soon... freakin baseballs are killer
