That's right-- Tuesday is the new update bitches. I can't find exactly what's new, but at the least you have: now all 4 maps will be Versus capable, something about a new level called Lighthouse, and the Survival Mode.

I am filled with excitement, such a shame that I'm so bad at the game though

can't fuckin' wait. But aren't we getting 2 new maps?

Just want to point out that my sister is so obsessed with Expert mode that she got the ZOMBIE GENOCIDEST achievement a few days ago.

I've just scratched the surface on this game... maybe time for a gold membership.

The update isn't out on the PC side yet, but it's on the 360. I'd be down with playing this after I write a final today and then have a study session with a friend of mine. Anyone else up for that?

Xbox got it at 2am whereas PC has to wait until "Later that day" which I don't know when that is...

HOLY CRAP.

Survival mode is FUCKING INSANE! Sera, Sine, Shrin and I just tried it... our best time was 3 minutes. We did the Lighthouse (Last Stand) map, but good god was it ridiculous. You get hit 6 ways and it's just insane.

To be honest, it's not really fun.

It definitely needs some tweaking... or are there that many gamers who want impossible scenarios? I was hoping for more along the lines of Horde Mode from Gears2, but this is like going straight to round 48 of 50. Just look at the graph I linked above-- within almost 3 minutes you have 1 special spawning every few seconds and a tank every minute.

I was talking with Becca about it, and her and her friends actually did quite a few of the survival modes. They got 10 minutes on one of them. It seems like it was just the Last Stand that was really hard. They recommend everybody with auto-shotties to combat the tank.

yeah Bovine and I just played a few rounds of The Crane in Dead Air... we got over 10 minutes

Sure one guy found an exploit... if you hang on the edge of the building the zombies can't seem to figure out how to get to you for the most part, but even when we didn't use that method we got over 7 minutes in one case. So yeah, Last Stand apparently is the hardest one... now I wanna try more!

Edit: I also found the cheat on The Lighthouse, fyi. You have to stuff all four survivors on the chimney (don't get on the pipe though). Sniper and M16 only though - keep watch for smokers. I just did it like two days ago, so it'll probably be fixed this weekend-ish.

Ha, how do you like versus?

I still like playing infected more than survivor on versus. There's a huge difference in the way people play survivor, I've noticed. Not just between expert and versus players, but just regular versus players in general. Some like to take their time and make sure everyone makes it and stays together, where as some people like to just rush though it without a second thought to the other players. I refuse to play in public versus games though, for that very reason. That and a lot of them are just douchebags.
