Demo has been up on PSN for a little while now. Anybody with a PS3 ought to download it. Pretty great demo that lets you do a few different missions. Protagonist Cole doesn't seem to have too many different attacks, but the beauty of the game's combat lies in linking them together while leaping from building ledges to power lines and pretty much anything else in the city you could imagine. Release date is this Tuesday.

Gametrailers video review.

I previously had not been paying much attention to the game and frequently confused it with the upcoming (way more violent) Protoype.

Waiting on Prototype's reviews before I decide on one, though INfamous looks darn good.

Seems like an interesting game and Sucker Punch has been pretty good over the years. I may try the demo.

Prototype is almost like a spiritual successor to Indigo Prophecy. So if you played that, you'll probably get a decent idea of what's going on there

Hey, any of you PS3 owners got a headset you use? I got a used Metal Gear headset and I'd like actually test it out

The demo is pretty good. It seems like a fun game. Reminds me of Crackdown actually. My only complaint is that your character seems to clingy. He attaches to everything because he can climb so much stuff (which does make sense), but it felt like he did it a little too much.

The electricity powers are fun though and I liked draining power from lamp posts and stuff. This might become a used game pickup over the summer.

You're thinking of Heavy Rain. Prototype is nothing like IP from what I can tell.

holy fun.

There are some real big moments of low quality like when anyone talks and you see the worst lip movements of this generation of consoles. However, this is balanced by crazy-fun gameplay. After one of the first missions the game told me I should play on hard, and usually I do not.... but I decided maybe it was right. I've certainly died a couple times, but the extremely forgiving checkpoints coupled with a high difficulty that is just hard, not unfair makes for a very enjoyable experience. It plays like crackdown.... but with more enjoyable abilities.

Bovine says play this game for if you like to have fun in your games.

I hate fun. It burns my skin like acid and exposes my shallow, hateful soul.

Do you have anything that resembles being waterboarded, or having one's face set on fire with kerosene?

I never got anything saying I ought to switch to hard, but maybe I will. I had a few dumb deaths on the bridge leading to the quarantine zone. I'm just past that part now.

It had a pretty cool ending. Going to run through it again as Mr.Evil, as it looks like the end would change... if only a subtle change.
