This has me very interested. This could be perhaps the most important step in the history of the Industry. As well, it could easily be a step taken a few years too early.

It's downloadable games only so there's a ton of people who it won't appeal to. If they decide to use the memory-stick port for actual games it will help tremendously in its appeal

It just MIGHT be too early, that's the only real concern.
Downloading games exclusively is a great idea regardless. It also cuts out the piracy middle-man...I think.

Great idea for the companies, yes. Not so much for the consumer

It can be done well or it can be done in such a way as to nickel-and-dime people to death.
Personally, I prefer downloaded content to physical at this point, and it is indeed much harder to pirate, at least on a console. I'm not a mobile gamer, though...I never really have been, so I'm not the target market for this little gem.
