I'd assume that's a play on e^pi*i = -1.

Ahhh, my favorite equation. Multiplying an imaginary suddenly turns it real.
But, anyway, I just made that above thing up. I was joking about the stupid equation they did for the MGS cell phone game.

I don't follow MGS much, so when you posted that I thought that could be an actual thing they're doing since the last one I read made just as little sense as that.
