Anyone hear anything about this? Seems like it might be cool. The trailer is awesome anyway, but of course that doesnt really matter...

Its a sort of MMO from Funcom for the 360 and PC, but no levels, no classes, and everything is skill based. According to Wikipedia, it also has a single player mode.

Funcom is underrated, I think. I'm playing through Dreamfall: The Longest Journey right now and it's one of the better games I've played...though is it ever time-consuming!

Funcom is OVERrated! They made Age of Conan, which had a horrible release, and Anarchy Online, which had a horrible release. I'll wait until a few months after it's been released before I even bother with it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. How about the original The Longest Journey? That alone vindicates Funcom from their MMO flobs. Although I really did end up enjoying Anarchy Online.

But on topic - I read the preview for the game in the latest PC Gamer and the story sounds excellent. I was willing to overlook the gameplay in Earth & Beyond being somewhat repetitive because the story and setting were so interesting but they didn't update quickly enough. Hopefully they don't make that mistake and the gameplay is good though.

It is working on some interesting ideas, so here's hoping.

E&B was a great game in the beginning, but the triple XP pathes quick degenerated into a single-thread "fight creatures" path fairly quickly.

Yeah that's true, too. I loved the exploration path, though.

Dreamfall is just very, very well done. I'm enjoying it muchly. Not many games take time to realize a world like that.
