I played it a few weeks back, even during one of the Live sessions. It is a good bit of fun, moreso I bet if we did so with one another to compete against in the mini teams they put you into.

Yeah, still in Beta. They're running nightly shows at 11pm (8pm on weekends) and "Extended Play" (ie. just play; not 1 vs 100 style, only points) from about 7pm to midnight every night. That's the one downfall of the game, you can only play during scheduled periods since it relies on having others playing as well.
It's an entertaining distraction. I played it again last night for the first time since the Beta went down to the US (we Canadians got it first) and they implemented the lifetime stats. You play for only half an hour and you answer 37 questions (in Extended Play) so it's a good pick-up-and-play, low-investment time waster. If you play the actual 1 vs 100, they're actually making it interesting by having prizes like MPs and giving away copies of games (like Braid). But you have to play Extended PLay to get invited to be the "1".
In other words, perfect for you right now, Shellie :-)

Yeah Sine and I played a couple Live games...that was a lot of fun. And we played some Extended play as well. We werent sure at the time how to get into the Mob, but I guess you have to put your time in Extended play?
They have a "battle of the sexes" type trivia day..forget what day, but I wanna try that one heh

Why 11pm? They act like we don't work.

That does seem kinda late - on a good day I'm in bed by midnight. But, consider that 11 pm EST is 8 pm PDT. That might be the sweet spot where you're going to be able to get the most people on both coasts to participate. (I'm assuming that they don't have a show for each time zone.)

I would severly doubt that 11pm is ideal in any way for EST. M$ is a western-based company and 8pm seems like the perfect time for west-coast players and the people at M$ to monitor. If eastern people join, great. It's just a Beta, western players and the smaller eastern population should be more than enough

Still playin' the game a few times a week and am quite enjoying it. If you play on Friday or Saturday in the actual 1 vs 100 Live, it's pretty neat. There were over 40,000 people on Friday and over 27,000 doing the Video Game Trivia last night, so they've built it to handle a lot of simultaneous online players.
Also, this game FINALLY gives you a real, tangible return for paying for Xbox Live Gold over the free online from the other systems.
