Dragon Age : Fuck yes
Scribblenauts. : Might be cool. I got booted before I could actually do anything. Not happy about that so I can't really say anything about the came. I might come back on sunday ut it kinda pissed me off.
Left 4 Dead 2: Awesome
Mass Effect 2 : Looks a lot better than one....and I really liked one.
Dragon Age : Definite buy now
Diablo 3 : HOLY FUCK AWESOME
Starcraft 2 : Very cool
Serious Sam HD : WHEEEEE!
and the game of the day.......BORDERLANDS! Fucking awesome game

Game of the show thus far......Borderlands has been surpassed.....the game of the show is an in progress independant title called Shanks. IT's FUCKING BRILLIANT.
oh and the scribblenauts guys left me completely unimpressed after I got booted so a more respected press person could play again. so I went from jazzed to probably not buying the game.

I'm still pretty pumped for Scribblenauts. It looks like a more creative version of Scrabble.

Yeah...I can't pass up Scribblenauts. It's the kind of game I dream of on a DS.

Don't buy scribblenauts.
Seriously.
If you've re-ordered change it to something else. just wait for the reviews. the game controlls like absolute shit and really isn't very intuitive.

We got to try it for ourselves, Chris. It's just too intriguing and, if the gameplay is anything like I think it can be, it'll be tons of fun.

I already knew the controls weren't great because of the touch-style used, but every hands-on I've read has just gone on and on about fun it is to try new stuff each time. I expect it won't be perfect, but it's different and that's enough for me to spend $35.

wait till the reviews. my guess is that it will not be pretty. calling them not great is an understatement. they were complete shit. and the novelty is more than bound to run out. Extremely unintuitive. Also Cocks
The Sabatour It's freaking fantastic.

If the novelty and fun lasts for a month, that's enough for me. I think that it will help having friends with the game as we'll just enjoy comparing strategies and possibilities. But we've got a week and then I'll let you know what my impressions are.

Keep in mind, you're not mad at the GAME, you are mad at the company MAKING the game. Big diff.

Dear Chris,
I really want that Rooster hat. However, since I trust you, I will not preorder it in order to get the rooster hat and try it before I buy it. If it turns out to be great then I will be sad and without a rooster hat.

no. I'm mad at the game. It's amazingly unintuitive and controls like ass. Worst controls on a DS game of all time possibly. It was awful. Them being dicks just made me extra glad that I don't have to wait till release to actual talk about the time I got on it.

If it turns out to be great, I will take a picture of myself in the rooster hat and post it in order to increase your sadness.

Actually, I'm curious about the controls. Are they any good?

I can't tell if you're serious or not, Sine, but I'll answer based on reviews I've seen.
The controls, for some reason, are all touch-screen based. So you click where you want him to walk and where you want him to aim things, etc. Why they didn't use the d-pad for movement and the buttons for jumping and using items is beyond me. It sounds like it's the game main issue, but none of the hands-on reviews I've seen have sounded like it's a dealbreaker.
I guess I'll be finding out in a few days!

those are previews. not reviews. just wait till you see actual reviews start popping up when the game comes out (The embargo lasts till then so only vague general statements can be made by press and anyone who already has the full game)

Meh. The previews I've read have practically been mini-reviews. They've touched on the game's faults and it's strengths. I feel like they explained enough. The hands-on that the Kotaku guys have done, for example, was pretty detailed. I'll see how it is once I get some time with the game myself though.

heh. I just got reamed by a guy across twitter for not appreciating games as art. I do. I just like them to be well made and not rely solely on a gimmick.

It probably is a really bad flu that's not swine flu. It sounds like the problem at PAX was that the flu was going around hardcore. But that's a real health problem this year, because when the flu is going around, some of the strains are going to be swine flu.

Is there an easy way to get tested? Might be able to do so without insurance, either, if the CDC is really concerned about where the cases are.

What the fuck. Crap shack. All I know is that I'm fucking sick as a dog and functioning off flu meds which have me high as hell

There is a chance that maybe there might be possibly scibblenauts floating around on the internet.
If there was, then maybe I gave it a go and maybe it's pretty fun and unique.
Controls are a bit crap though, but controlling your guys is sort of secondary to the main point of thinking crap up to solve puzzles.
