How are you supposed to DL stuff with the DS? When I click the download play it sits there forever looking for software available to download...

You have to set up a wireless internet connection in system settings.

I still can't find it even in the settings... Man, I hate feeling stupid when I should be able to figure it out, lol. Screw DSs, I've played with my GFs now for only a day and I don't like it. The start up screen isn't intuitive and the screen resolution suggs. I jusyt want to DL the FF4 eps that seek has been talking about, grr.

only the dsi downloads games, the ds lite and the original do not. I can put my arms back on, you cannot, so play safe.

Ugg, why does the DS Light even have the icon, then!? This thing blows, its stuck in the stone age.

it's for downloading demos from kiosks and demos from other people's games so you can play some multiplayer games like that.

The DSLite is just a gaming device. Really nothing more, nothing less. It's not going to be more than that like the PSP. :) However, it accomplishes its sole purpose very, very well.

Also, speaking of that, what program do you use to rip DVDs to your PSP? I bought a PSP2000 off a friend for $80 (God of War one to boot) and I want to start doing that. The couple ones I've tried have issues syncing sound to the video.

You mean the icon featuring two DSs connected together with a Bluetooth signal? It's for downloading data from other DSs with the correct software in order to play multiplayer games with only one cartridge. For example, if someone has Mario Kart, but the other players don't, then the other players can download the necessary files from him for multiplayer.

As has been said, it can also be used to download demos from Bluetooth kiosks in certain stores which have it advertised.

It can also be used to download content via Bluetooth from your Wii.

The DS Lite also has WiFi which can be accessed for online multiayer and DLC through various software/games.

PS, the FF4 episodes are WiiWare; nothing to do with the DS.

Ah, i thought it was a DS download game for some reason, maybe since they remade FF4 for the system. My last 4 cellphones have had better screen resolutions than this thing, lol. I'm so thankful for the PSN PSP store.

Yeah, the one that says Download Play... and then "looking for software available to download" when its pushed. Cant figure out how i was confused as to why i thought it would download software to play. :)

You got a great deal, i would buy another one if i ran into that kind of purchase. The 2000 is what i have and it is so close to the 3000 that it makes no difference at all which you use. In fact, some people think the improved 3000 screen is actually poorer than the 2000 in color. I dont have that movie program anymore and i dont remember which one it was. It got lost with a new computer purchase and i havent tried to format a movie in years. Some DVDs ive bought lately have come with a PSP format on them (Starship Troopers) so ive moved those files over and they have sufficed for when i have needed something to watch.

Yeah, I have a few of those (Hulk, Iron Man, Watchmen, etc). Those are definitely going onto the PSP. I got an 8GB card for $20 so it'll take quite a few videos.
