Ok, so I got it this morning and have put maybe an hour into it (had to take a couple "bathroom breaks" today).

The controls are crappy. I knew that going in and they do not disappoint in their crappiness. Why they don't let you use the d-pad for movement and the buttons for actions is beyond me.

However, that's really the only bad thing about the game. I love discovering new words to use. I finished the puzzle version of world 1 so far and I'm just going back through it redoing the levels with unique objects. I love using wings to fly around. That's my favorite object so far.

I also love creating characters like a bride and groom and then blowing them up after they've started kissing. For one level, I rode a submarine underwater to get a Starite. Replaying the level, I rode a freaking dolphin. Awesome. I created a sword and killed some monsters with it. I then created an assassin who attacked me. I took his sword and dropped mine. I then created a ninja and a pirate. The ninja went for the dropped sword to battle the pirate. But, the pirate still won. I then blew up the pirate.

Another time, I created a dog, fed the dog poison so he got sick, then I created a flying disc to play with the dog. I hit him with it by accident. This angered him so he attacked me. I beat him to death with a baseball bat. Any game that allows that scenario to play it gets my money easily.

How much time will I invest in the game? Hard to say. I imagine the novelty will wear off after a few weeks or so, but it's still well worth the money, imo. Plus it's something I can throw in and play for fun after that (like the WarioWare games). Plus you can play user-created levels.

SPISPOPD FAQ wrote:"Can we like, buy nuclear missiles in the game, then like ride them through the dungeon - maybe pick up Elvis along the way. Then kinda have him kidnapped by aliens from Fruloz, but we catch up to them, and feel bored and so we hack up Elvis with our ChainSaw. Then we see another player COOL. So we can, like shoot our friends, and throw pieces of Elvis at him. Then the nuclear missile hits something and blows up and we see these cool graphics and then we get to play again? Can we do this?"
Finally, a game where this is possible...

Reviews seem to be fairly positive so far, they're a mix though, the lowest ranging around 7/10 with the majority being between 8.5 and 9. IGN gave it an 8.7 which is a very high score coming from their DS team. They called it the best DS game from a US developer.

I doubt this game is going anywhere anytime soon, so I'll probably pick it up later on. I have a few other DS games I want to finish before expanding my collection further.
