Sure it's a comic. It's just not a good one.

"Nu-uh" is not an argument. I think there's a low bar for something to qualify as a comic: pictures in sequence with words in them. I see no reason why screenshots can't be used as the pictures.

Don't misinterpret this as an insult to your profession. I think the bar for something to qualify as a book is even lower: words on a page bound together. You don't get to exclude something from a classification just because it's bad.

"A comic book (often shortened to simply comic and sometimes called a funny book, comic paper or comic magazine) is a magazine made up of narrative artwork, often accompanied by dialog (usually in word balloons, emblematic of the comic book artform) and often including brief descriptive prose."

It's not a fucking comic book. It's a bunch of screenshots with words. Calling it a comic book grants it a level of legitimacy that it does not deserve. Kupek, you don't seem to understand the power that would give.

And if you can construct a narrative with those "screenshots and words," then it's a comic.

If I bolt a bunch of soggy pieces of driftwood in such a way that I can sit on it and have some back support, it's a chair. It's a crappy chair, but it's still a chair.

I was under the impression stuff like 8-bit theatre is nothing but 'screenshots with words'. And you at least have better graphics to work with.

In Japanese manga they apparently have a lot of generic scenes that you can just copy & paste and put your character into it.

Cyanide and Happiness you can construct with 4 or 5 basic shapes but its a funny 'comic' at times.

They need a model or character poser separate from the game for this to work. I agree with Chris. Screenshots alone would do next to nothing for me.
