Holy AWFUL textures. Wow, they really did not do well with the shadows, textures, and (from what I hear, it was pretty smooth sailing for me) framerate. The low quality found in some areas of the graphics are pretty jarring and confusing.
Other than that I am having fun with it. It is certainly no Uncharted 2, but it is good fun for the 2 or so hours that I have played it so far. Hopefully the experience is better on the other two platforms it has been released on.
Also, it was cheap at Best Buy and Walmart, and the HMV I bought it at had it at $60 + a free game valued at $20 (I grabbed loco roco 2). Hopefully if you are interested in this game, these deals will persist because it is a bit of an ugly (but stylized at least) game that is deep and cool and has multiplayer.

pc version is where to go if you have a decent pc. only reason to touch a console version of the game is if you don't have a pc. and it's all about the multiplayer

And don't forget it's only $45 on Steam until it gets released.

?? You're normally the one who's an ass about people asking stupid questions that are easily found. Forgot how to navigate Steam's shop?
System Requirements:
OS: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor
Memory: 1GB System RAM (2GB recommended with Vista)
Graphics: 256mb video ram or better (GeForce 8 series or higher/Radeon R8xx series)
Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space
Sound: Windows compatible sound card
If you're asking how well it runs on a PC... you'll have to ask again in about 1 day and 14 hours.

That's not what I was asking. System requirements don't tell me shit about how it runs. When I'm asking for system requirements, I'm not asking for "system requirements".

Yes, that's what I'm asking. Why do I have to wait?

Because it hasn't been released.

...? Your use of the English language in this thread is troubling.
I thought you were getting the game on PC too... how can you not have noticed it doesn't come out for another day? That's even worse than when I originally thought you were just too lazy to check the requirements page.

Ahhh, for the PC. Looks like consoles already have it.
And Tess, I was getting it from a friend who bought a 4-player Steam pack, and mentioned that he might be playing that over the weekend. I need to get the money, so I haven't got the game yet.

For some stupid reason it came out 6 days earlier on console than PC. Still surprised you didn't even bother to look at the release date on Steam
The 4 pack is nice... each person's saving about $10, but that's a lot of logistics to try to collect your money from friends (assuming they're not nearby)

No Walmarts or Best Buys here have any copies, so BL is a no-go for me. Too many games, not enough time.

I don't trust enough people online or know any PC gamers in real life to chance that haha.
Edit: Steam unlocked it but it wouldn't launch. They might fix this in the coming hours but apparently you have to restart Steam in order to initiate the decryption method to launch.

Played through quite a bit on the sniper/revolver character. I'm typically not that into first person shooters but I'm loving this game. There's something eerily satisfactory about shooting something with a revolver the size of my forearm and seeing it explode. I thought this would probably be the character I would be worst at but since I tend to be pretty crappy at medium range fire fights and good at close and far range it ended up being perfect.
Also sine it runs fine for me and my computer is fairly low end at this point.
Running on medium to high settings with my Windows Vista system with absolutely no slow downs (nVidia GeForce 7950 GT, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 3GB of memory) so you should probably give it a whirl on the PC if you get a chance, Sine.
The one major disappointment is that it uses Gamespy for online matchmaking. Hopefully it has improved or my memory is off because I don't remember Gamespy being all that great.

EB wasn't selling it for $40.

No, they wanted $70. But if they got some restock, the rest should have as well

Is this going to be like MMOs where I have to compete with my friends for levels? I'm at lvl7, but I'm going to be away for Halloween. Does that mean you fuckers are going to be at level 30 when I get back?

We're already level 24
When you play with higher level players you gain more xp (a lot more depending on the level). Also, we've all created characters specifically for playing coop with each other and won't be playing them without the rest of the gang (at least I won't). And yes, even I have a life this weekend.

I didn't even understand it, that's what frustrated me. Such a great game, with such a forgettable ending :\

So that's me, Tess, Pixie and... Did Sera want to play through it?
Haha just joking.
Can't wait to see how the game looks with the video card I picked up this week.
Tess seemed undecided on picking it up, though.
