I mean, the only women in the original were either fully armored or tended to be piously dressed, so, uh, Ubisoft makes up for that in this sequel.
Jokes aside, I just finished it and was very pleased with most of the game. They moved the story along in surprising directions and what I thought was going to be impossible to do in three games they did a damn fine job of tidying up without seeming rushed in any way.
If you liked the first one you'll love this one. It's a lot of the same but better.
If you didn't like the first one, and most of your complaints were about repetition, then you'll most likely enjoy playing this one. If you didn't like it for reasons that had to do with the engine, controls, or camera then you're probably shit out of luck because they didn't do much in the way of improving those.
When I say complaints about repetition are addressed I do mean it. There's still 66 towers in the game to climb but that's the only thing from the original that's the same. And that was some of one of my favorite parts in both games so, shucks. The side quests are typically very similar or the same (except no saving citizens) but none of them are required unless you're getting more money for new armor and weapons.
My only real complaints aren't even real complaints, I suppose. The game feels a lot more open then the original but I imagine that's on purpose both story and game design-wise. Gone is Al Mualim telling you to do shit and here you are not so much with the doing that. Also the game perhaps give you too many weapons. I found the pistol nearly useless by the time I got it, especially since the new hidden blade assassinations are so incredibly fun to execute and watch.
And as an aside, Desmond is much less of a whiny little wuss.
