  • Last Remnant on Steam for $9.99 worth buying?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Reviews haven't been too kind so it's really a personal preference

No.

The game is beautiful beyond words and the plot and exposition seem to be up there with the finest work Square has ever done, which is a real goddamned shame because the battle engine drops frames like Doom running on a 386 and the gameplay itself is the biggest, most confusing least enjoyable clusterfuck I've ever seen in an RPG battle system.

Wait for the $3.99 price point drop, then buy it and watch the intro and never open it again. That would be my suggested enjoyment-maximization of that title (possibly going to watch the prettier cinematics and catch the basics of the plot on YouTube when you're done too.)

IDK. If I had the chance, I would not buy it again at ten dollars. I might buy it at four. Given what they spent on that title, you can decide for yourselves whether or not I think they did a good job.

It actually runs really smoothly on my comp, but then my comp is overpowered. Non-overpowered comps need not apply to buying Last Remnant. :P

I'm playing it on the 360. It's disgraceful. I want to shake the developers repeatedly so I can recreate the jerkiness that is the experience of trying to watch their frameskippling game for them.

Apparently there are a lot of technical updates in the pc version from what I've read.

Unfortunately, I just don't have a lot of time to invest in an RPG anymore :/

In my opinion; for $10, even if the game is a mistake it's nothing to be too concerned about. I would guess the time to play such a game is much more valuable than $10.

I bought this for $10 for the 360 when EB had it on sale this past summer.

I think I got a few hours into it, haven't touched it since.
