Microsoft "Game Room" allows for one-play payments

Basically, you can pay 50 cents (40 points) to play an old arcade game like Asteroids or Centipede if you don't wanna buy them for $3 to $5 (240 to 400 points)

Neat idea, we'll see how well that flies. If it were for more recent games, like 5-10 year old games instead of 30, I could see it making far more coin. But with only older games it may be a bit of a hard sell.

Thats cool if it has a scoreboard for people to compete on, which is really what the arcade classics are about.

For sure. I hope they don't miss out on something like that, particularly with the Leaderboard system they already have for most XBLA games
