I've been playing a bit of this game, and I must say, it's fairly fantastic so far. It is kind of like a cross between Fire Emblem, Ogre Battle, and Phoenix Wright in terms of mechanics.
Essentially battles carry out like this:
* You have your team on a grid, and they navigate around the same way as Fire Emblem.
* Rather than each character being a separate entity, it is the leader of its own battle party - like Ogre Battle. If the leader dies, the party is done..
* Like both games, each battle lasts a limited number of turns based on various factors; so both parties can survive encounters. On the other hand, you control your party in battle, unlike the other two.
* The rest of the game is navigated in a similar way to Phoenix Wright, although the way things are examined is different, you can talk to your party members, talk to locals, or take part in an event; among other things.
* Time passes when various tasks are completed.
The game is a lot of fun so far. Since it is probably going to be rare, I recommend picking it up if you see it.
