NPD: PS2's monthly home console record of 2.7M broken

Well, smashed! DS and Wii both break records, and are the first gaming systems in the North American market to pass 3 million sales in a single month. Fairly insane that Nintendo sold over 7 million game systems. This also marks the highest selling overall hardware month in history for the North American market.
Wii - 3.81 million
DS - 3.31 million
PS3 - 1.36 million
X360 - 1.31 million
