Not much there yet, but considering Last Story is synonymous with Final Fantasy, it's easy to guess what to expect.

Sakaguchi is walkin' on some REAL THIN ICE with me. Blue Dragon was generic, Lost Odyssey was atrociously bad...
Considering he's been talking trash about FF after he's left (Despite the fact that X and XII have been far superior to anything he's made on his own) and he's been bragging about how awesome his games are in comparison, he's really not done much to put mettle to his words in my mind.
This is another Mistwalker production, right? Do we know any details 'sides the logo?
...and what the hell is with that title? It literally is just a less catchy way to say Final Fantasy. Is he so starved for ideas that he's ripping off a series that he hasn't had any significant influence with in over a decade? BAH!

I agree. The title is stupid, and the reviews on his previous two games have been pretty bad.

Rent deals in extremes.
I never came close to finishing Lost Odyssey but the first few hours of it were alright. I remember most of you who finished it said the latter half/quarter/disc/whatevs was pretty shitty though.

It's PASSABLE until Disc 3, whereupon you sit and watch the ENTIRE STORY go down the shitter in 3 hours of worth non-interactive cutscenes.

More information will be revealed for Last Story in March.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon were co-developed respectively by FEELplus and Artoon. This is not the case for Last Story; so there's not large grounds for comparison. Wait until the March unveiling.

In his latest post at [url="
http://www.mistwalkercorp.com/jp/column/index.html]the Mistwalker blog[/url], Sakaguchi said of the recently announced Wii RPG, "At present, I'm focused on this one game. It's my only project."
He likened development of the game to raising a lone daughter, although he later noted that the game is actually like a child who's receiving the love of the entire development staff. "She will be raised strongly, beautifully, and gently," said Sakaguchi.
I am fairly interested in this now =)

Why? Because he'll care for this game more than his children?

Because Hironobu Sakaguchi is putting total focus on this project.

I can agree that Blue Dragon was terribly generic (but hey, so is Dragon Quest...some people like that I guess)...but LO was pretty good.
