  • The Wii version of Tiger 11 looks SICK

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

The second video down the screen is the Wii version

http://gdc.gamespot.com/story/6253266/t ... first-look

To sum up where last year they only used the motion plus to measure wrist rotation, this year they are adding two more swing modes. In advanced plus it measures the inside/out or outside/in angle of your swing to add in slice and fade, and then in tour pro mode, it adds wrist rotation to point of contact using a first person view where you are actually looking down on the ball. Looks like it could be incredible in the amount of realism offered in the game. Also they are adding in the ryder cup tournament, and the mechanics for that look awesome as well. Looks like this is DEFIDENTLY going to be worth checking out.

I never did try Tiger 10 (don't play sports games). How did that actually turn out?

Sigh, this is practically the only game series that my dad plays. I don't get the obsession. Hell, they are now even watching golf on TV. Who would actually change their TV watching habits based on a new game?

That and he played through RE4.

Hold on, hold on. Your dad has only played through Tiger Woods and RE4? A little on the opposite ends of the spectrum there, isn't he?

I thought it turned out really well and was much better than the previous Wii iteration, however from what I am seeing they are going all out on this version to make the game as realistic as possible.

Finally someone is using the WiiMotion Plus to its abilities, huh? Odd that EA would be doing a better job than Nintendo

Yeah, only core game I could get him to play on the Wii. (Not to say that he isn't into space sim MMOs, or other types of games.) He didn't like Metriod 3 because of the controls were different than RE4 and he just couldn't get past the first boss. He didn't like the RE:UC game, either.

Umbrella Chronicles is an on-rails shooter. It's far different.

I'm just really surprised he liked RE4. You should try Wario Ware Smooth Moves with him, I'll be he's fine with the use of the Wiimote there (you will be too).

No, it's a Wii game, realism is not paramount in its design ;-)
