This is an indie RPG that's basically a spoof on Dragon Warrior 1 (same graphics style, quality, and movement) that's very much tongue in cheek and relatively comical. Do yourself a favour and try the demo, it's one of the newer ones on Live. It's only 80 points to buy and you get 4-6 hours of gameplay out of it so it's very much worth your money. Hell, even I picked it up :-)

Is this in the indie game section? Something at 4-6 hours is probably more than most of those games give you.

Yep, it's an indie game. That's why it's price at 80 points.

Hell, it has the same or even more total playtime than a lot of much higher priced Live Arcade games

Very good find. Just finished the game. The game definitely has an old school feel, but there are a few aspects of the game that add to the gameplay. The battle counter & fight command are great. I can just fight the rest of my counter next to a save spot and get rid of the random encounters, or play random encounters and fight the rest of the counter just to level build. The level choices are really nice, too.

My only complaints are that the mazes are really confusing, which is, again, an old school thing from DQ, but it's not a good one. I miss not having a map. Also, I wish there was a bit more detail in the menu system. I wanted to see what my skills were from my leveling, but that information is lost once you select it.

I found that I was using Lita's Shotgun to the bitter end. The "target all enemies" aspect was too good to drop for another weapon. The SMG was really nice for boss battles, but otherwise, the Shotgun was the best weapon. I would clear out many enemies with a Fire+Ice and Lita's attack combo.

Probably spent a good 8-10 hours on it. I ended up beating it with lv34 characters or so. (After lv30, the game just gives you the same lvl choice of +10 to all stats, but the lv29-30 skills are pretty nice.)

Overall, completely worth your money, as we're talking about a buck here. So far, the best Xbox Indie game on the market. I would recommend that everybody with an XBox play it and buy it.
