This looks like alot of fun, Secret of Manaish, I've never really gotten into the Ys series, but I might pick this up.

I always wonder why the ability to save anywhere is not a standard feature in most games.

The gameplay of the later Ys seems pretty different from the original but though originally you didn't even have an attack button, so maybe it's a good thing.
