Utopia

I started a few days ago, landing in a ghetto, I quickly became Monarch.
Currently I am building up a new Kingdom. One new feature for Utopia is that each age a Monarch is allowed to invite in 3 provinces. So if anyone here is interested in playing for an age or two, building up a Kingdom and Alliance (We can call it Shrine); by all means start a province, play for a week or two to see if you're into it, and then I'll send the invite.
Currently I am busy trying to convince people to ignore the world outside of the Kingdom until they know how to play, and until we have a 100% active Kingdom. Most people seem to be into the idea, but a few are selfish players, and focussed on their own growth (they will be driven out).
I forgot how fun this simple game could be; I do like it better than Tribal Wars and the other more visual games available.

It's been years since I last played, but I might be game. I've been playing the online might and magic game lately, which is basically Utopia for dummies.

As much as erepublik sucks now it's still the only game of this type that I really have time for right now. I like that I can spend as little as a few minutes a day in the game or more if something interesting happens. Utopia pretty much ends up demanding hours worth of time a week if you're playing competitively.

Yeah and it needs precise timing on when to log on sometimes, too. I mean you can do it once every few days and treat it like a social game, but i remember waking up at like 3am right when i get my money to make troops or something when i was playing hard in college.

Heh, logging in at the first of each month to build the bonus 5 acres of land.... Having a 24-7 Utopia schedule.... It's really when you're co-ordinating through SMS with Kingdommates from around the world on a constant basis that it really becomes time to quit.
Anyway, I am looking at having a much simpler and more fun oriented experience with enough serious play to at least get logins twice a day or so during war, and once a day during peacetime; as a minimum.
It seems to be fun so far. Anyway, for anyone who wants to think about it, next age starts in ~6-8 weeks. Otherwise talk to me.
Anarky, there is a spot ready for you when you are ready.

Wow I haven't played Utopia for eons it feels... and luckily I can say I still have no inclination to do so. Neat to see it's still around though
Is the same guy running the show?

Inactives cleared, we're down to 1 at a time, and quickly clearing those out. Currently the Kingdom is sitting on 11 provinces, about half of the previous ones were killed off for inactivity. I have two slots remaining for invites this age, one reserved for Anarky if the wish to take it is still there, and one still open.
