IGN ran an article on their wish for a Nintendo vs Capcom game recently

Apparently, there was a question put to the guy at Capcom (Ono) who's in charge of the fighting games back during the German convention and he said something along the lines of "that would be pretty cool to try and do" which, in a way the Internet could only do, became "CAPCOM GUY WORKING ON NINTENDO VS CAPCOM" in a matter of days. Of course, that's not actually the case, and it let to Ono to actually having to apologize to Iwata 'cause the rumour mill got out of hand on his off-handed comment.
I know a lot of you guys here are Vs fans like I am. What do you think of a Nintendo vs Capcom crossover game, would you even care? And what style would you have it done in, Vs series or Smash Bros? I personally would love to see Nintendo and Capcom each work on one version with their in-house fighting series the way Namco and Capcom are doing right now, but if you had to pick just one of those fighting styles, which one do you think would work best?
Obviously this would only ever happen on the Wii so let's not bother trying to use the format as either a good (Seek) or bad (Sine, Don) thing. Let's leave the system comments out of it.

I was there on that fateful day, were you?
