You were playing that damn game the whole time during our D&D session last night.

You may have problems? :)

(disclaimer: D&D is cool)

I just love the lines "I want this one." "No you don't."

Classic beyond classic. Poor Magikarp. xD

No need to judge yourself. A lot of adults play Pokemon. I don't, but I still think Pokemon Snap may have been the most innovative/coolest game I've played, or one of them.

Seriously. What are you gonna do? Give up your stable of Pokemon? Haven't you been working on that for years? :)

Do you know what a time investment in that you'd be throwing away? I'm sure you do!

Quit kidding yourself, you're gonna die with a Game Boy Futura in your hand at the age of 97 trying to catch Mewtwentyseventhousand. Acceptance is a beautiful thing.

No. D&D is fucking awesome. and yeah...the only reason I was able to stop playing Fox Newsymon is because the battery ran out and I left my charger in seattle at a friends house. so yeah....pretty sure I'll be playing again by the weekend. So much crack....plus....The damn pig turns into a fuckin' luchador. That immediately makes the game amazing.

I'm 29 and I got White; two of my co-workers who got it are in their mid-30's. I think with this one a lot of older players are getting into the series for the first time. This is the second game to be such a hit at my office, the first was Mario Kart DS. It's perhaps one of the most addictive games I have ever played, and very reminiscent of Earthbound; so it appeals to me.

The game is surprisingly a very solid RPG; loaded with an incredible amount of content. Although, I absolutely suck at multiplayer right now, and am still learning all the tricks and strategies. The one type of battle I can actually win are the 3 vs 3 party battles where you can have 3 monsters fighting at the same time (with 3 backups for when one falls, so the winner has to kill a total of 6).

If you want 3vs3 pick up Marvel vs Capcom 3! :P

It's 3 vs 3 now?!?!

Haha, perhaps I'll try that one out. I found the second one to be very interesting in concept, but at the time the fast pace and random insanity of what was going on was WAAAAAAAAY too crazy for me.

Yeah, the game is phenomenal. Everything you wanted it to be after playin' #2. Sure it has 20 less characters but...who cares?

And Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is incredible too. Takes an amazing game and makes it that much better.

By the way, I have a dragon now! I called him "Slughead" after Boris Grishenko's favourite insult from Goldeneye.

Slughead will be joining a team of 5 others which include:
* A giant late cretaceous era dino-bird who I called Raptor. I believe there is a BBC production on these things in their Walking With Dinosaurs series.
* One of my favourites is a little fire mouse thing called Mithras (after the previous Roman Messiah); he is actually one of the legendary monsters.
* Then there is also Niflheim (The icy Viking Hell) who is some sort of dangerous Ice Cream Cone; he is good at f'ing up Dragons by causing avalanches and firing ice beans, he is very deceiving in ability. While incredibly tough, Fedor Emelianenko eats these things for breakfast!

* Neptune is my eldest Pokemon who is appears to be a cross between the Ultima/Atma Weapon from Final Fantasy 6-8 and a friendly blue seal in a constant bad mood (he never smiles).
* And Mr Marbles (Seinfeld reference) who is a crazy looking Mantis made out of grass and yellow; his eyes shine red with anger at all times.

Well the game has seen somewhat high commercial success. It has the second highest week 1 sales of all time:

Calling it "hectic" is an embarrassment of the English language. You need to ingest spice melange to play this game.
