Sorry. Wife had babies in March.
I really want to pick this up, but I know I won't have time for it at the moment.

Looking forward to jumping into this. Loved the free upgrade to getting the first DLC character class release and the 10% discount for already owning the original on Steam. I hear they're less guilty of making the PC version a terrible port this time.

Yeah, our whole family (or at least me, my wife, and my sister) are planning on grabbing this, though we've been really busy lately. We do need a game to get together on.

Yes congratulations on the kids!
Also this game is pretty great. It's more of the same but better. What any sequel should aspire to.

I'm hopeful on that game but skeptical. I'm hoping it turns out as good as it should be

I'm loving the game. Already put a ton of time into it. Tons of small details and well written moments. Some bad jokes but the attention to detail as the story progresses has had me exploring all the little nooks and cranny's. I'm late in the game and I just ran across some shit from earlier missions that filled me with an intense urge to murder handsome jack in the face with my sniper rifle that makes sarcastic remarks every time I score a headshot or reload.

I'm only level 15 but i am having a lot of fun with this game, too. So far, i'm doing all the side missions i come across and compulsively tweaking out every little detail of my character that i can (i chose Maya). I'm finding some monotonous moments, though. Its annoying how fast monsters spawn from particular spots, in particular. Doing a quest or two and then logging out is actually a detriment since everything respawns when you start a new session, but i dont have 10 hours to play in a row so i'm finding that i do a lot of areas over again. Its stupid that monsters can just come out of houses that you, as a player, cant enter. So, one area might only look to have 4 or 5 bad guys, only to later have 10 more come out of artificial houses and that really takes time to move past.
The difficulty level is there. Even being overleveled (because i have to do areas over and over) i do die on occasion when i come across a mini boss or area that i'm not prepared for. However, its another annoyance to figure out what you have to do to some enemies. The Hyperion droids, for example, were kicking my ass since it took 10 sniper shots to kill them until i realized that you get criticals if you shoot off their arms. After that, i could kill them in two well placed sniper shots. A better game would allude to that with NPC dialogue or something, but this one was death by trial and error and frustration.

Got to level 10 after about a 3 hour play session and, much like the first one, it's just fun to play co-op. I'd like to get more playtime soon, if possible

I havent even touched co-op. I take too many breaks in between quests to run back to Sanctuary, sell my extra gear, and look in every nook. I think i move slow and i doubt that sits well with the run and gun mentality that co-op (probably) has.
I'll probably just solo this game so i can go at my own pace, listen to dialogue, hunt, and sit in town for as many smoke breaks as i want.

I tried it (single player). I wish I "got" what the rest of you like about it. I haven't had much fun. Maybe it's my fault, I tend to play snipers, and the fact that everyone knows exactly where I am after the first shot really kills the game for me.
Gonna give Torchlight 2 a try next.

Play with other people so they're shooting at them instead of you. Game is boring as hell alone, will admit to that.

I have fun enough solo and sniping. The AI is stupid though, you can hide behind a pole, for the most part, for 30 seconds and they lose aggro. Supposedly this is improved over the first game.

vastly improved. and the key is elemental. Hyperion robots go down in seconds to corrosion. Those areas are all cake for me with a good corrosion sniper. Bandits and everything else get dead by fire unless it's one of the pyros in which case you switch to lightning and try to hit the backpack. Pretty much I only use elemental weapons and Slag is a godsend. Hit something with slag and that elemental damage more than doubles and they die super fast

Okay, bitches. What's up with the shrine unity and shit? I haven't seen anybody wander into our games. Let's plan one out or something.
