  • How come there isn't Pokemon Online?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

I was playing the Pokemon clone in WoW because it's more interesting than most of the game itself, and I don't even like Pokemon. It seems to me this is something that literally has no chance of failing. Just make some random large world with some kind of game in theory but of course the meat of the game is go around and catch them all. Charge ilke $5 or $2 a month or something because it's a 'persistent world' or whatever and it should be money in the bank. Of course I know Nintendo doesn't do anything to do with online but this seems like such a safe bet I don't see how it can possibly go wrong.

No idea. It would make millions, Nintendo could have launched it with the Wii U.

I think it boils down to Japanese game companies being retarded when it comes to an online experience.

The game could be as bad as FF14 and it'd probably still do okay as long as it has a workable Pokemon component to it.

If this existed, it'd be the first MMORPG I would really get involved in and I'm not even a huge Pokemon fan. I don't know why, but something about the idea just sounds awesome.

I don't get why Nintendo hasn't done it yet either. The entire concept of Pokemon fits right into an MMO world including PVP.

Probably due to hardware limitations on the DS. I wouldn't be shocked if Nintendo released such a game this generation on 3DS, and then ruled the known universe until the end of time.
