WTF is up with Steam?

Search for Dark Souls 2: Nope, but we have the first one.
Search for Mass Effect 3: Nope, but we have the first two.
Seriously? Why the hell would you not have these games up on Steam?

Ummm, Dark Souls 2 isn't on Steam because it isn't out yet, and Mass Effect 3 isn't on steam because it's on EA's version of steam, Origin.
You probably won't see new releases of EA games on steam, at least for a while.
Dark Souls was the sequel to Demon Souls, I'm guessing that point confused you?

From what I can tell Steam's policy on the sale of DLC (i.e. not having to use a competing service in order to buy it) is something kind of new (1.5 years or so at the most) and something EA refuses to lose its grasp on. I don't see either side ever capitulating on this issue. Having to go to a different site to purchase and download DLC for older EA titles is basically the picture of inconvenience.
Mass Effect's DLC is a fucking bitch and a half if you own it on Steam, involving jumping through several hoops. The newer EA/Bioware titles (ME2, Dragon Age: Origins, and Dragon Age 2 (if you got your hands on it through Steam before they took it off the catalog)) are easier but still require membership with EA.
And, yeah, what Eric said about Dark Souls. Dark Souls 2 isn't coming out for consoles until something like 2014. Haven't seen anything about it coming for the PC.

I know that I really should post more about Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 2 in order to really galvanize you guys into wanting to play and know more about these games. Obviously I have not done enough of that so far.
Did I ever tell you guys about how I have beaten Demon's Souls? That game is hard! And I totally beat it because I am the best at videogames.
You should really check out that awesome thread about Dark Souls. The dude who keeps posting in there is pretty awesome and knowledgeable about Dark Souls. He is also very handsome.

Well, bovine, you were the one shouting Dark Soul 2. I thought it was already out. Oh well.

You should play the original Dark Souls. It is $40 on steam and
$16 (360) on amazon.com right now. It is a pretty good game.

Seedbox and modded 360. I'm a cheap ass. But, yeah, I'm trying it out right now.

FYI, Binding of Isaac for a dollar on Steam, and Borderlands 2 is probably going to be half price in a few hours.

Binding of Isaac is also in the humble indie bundle, if you want to get a whole shwack of games.

Bastion for $4. If you haven't played this game, you must buy this now.
