Its coming out soon and I'll probably pre-order/pre-load the thing so i can play Day 1. I did not play in the beta, so i'm curious how the multiplayer will feel. I've been playing online 1v1 again to try and get the old feel back before the expansion hits. I've no visions of being a good player, but i want to settle into Diamond league again and hold my own.
The problem with my play is that i get worse as the game goes on. I have a hard time keeping up with 4 bases and playing the macro game, so i usually two base and try to win via timing attacks or even cheese. I'm a zerg player, so the macro game should be my bread and butter... but i just dont have the APM!
I've been watching streams of people playing the beta of HotS and the new units look useful. I'm sure the campaign is top notch and i'll play though that, too.

I got into the beta very early and barely touched it. I seem to never play my Blizzard Betas very much. I have mixed feelings about the game and have kept up with the pro scene and patch notes. I mostly hope the changes to Battle.net make the game a little more user friendly towards casuals and modes beyond 1v1. My friends and I enjoy 3v3 and 4v4 but those map pools were utter shit in WoL.
In my opinion Blizzard's biggest mistake with SC2 was making the 1v1 the core of the game. Back with SC it was use map settings and easy chat channels. They have touched some of this with the arcade updates, but fingers crossed.

The UI is way improved and makes multi-base handling alot easier imo.
Wings of Liberty got the 2.0.4 patch if you wanna play through the campaign and see the new UI flip.

I don't particularly care about/for playing as the Zerg... I'll pick it up cheap (hopefully) and fly through it before the inevitable Protoss expansion.

Blizzard rarely sells their games "cheap" they usually keep them full box price until right before the next expansion is coming out.
Fairly sure I saw Starcraft 2 at like $30 on their website which was 50% off for Black Friday lol.

I meant riiiight before the Protoss release. I really don't relish playing a full Zerg campaign. Plus, I have my hands full gaming-wise right now.

As a Zerg player, I'm looking forward to this one =)
I look forward to wiping the floor with Protoss players in this expansion.

In the beta, the term Airtoss has been popular... It seems the new units for Protoss are pretty powerful and if you wait too long and let the P player get 3 or 4 bases, all their air units will just dominate a Zerg. Of course, strats in SC2 change all the time, i'm sure someone will find a counter and then there will be a counter-counter, etc.

The protoss depth chart got pretttttty deep this expansion, I think they got the most new units/changes.
Terran got widow mines, and hellbats, and Hellbats are retardedly powerful against ground forces(Mech that can be healed by medivacs ftw?!)
Zerg got the swarm hosts which people bitched about until they were nerfed into the ground, though I think they're still useful as fodder, which is what I think their intended purpose was, the Viper to pull Colosii & Tanks towards the zerg army so they're harder to corner, and tier 1 burrow! Eeeeee.
Beat it on Brutal this morning, then promptly passed out(I got to play early by switching to Korean server lol).
Great campaign, a little more linear then WoL, but I think the length ends up being about the same, 20 main missions, 7 evolution missions(which you really could have done without). I only really shuddered early on when my army only consisted of zerglings, and I mean very slow zerglings against anything Terran is painful lol.
Haven't done any multiplayer yet, but I'll probably scout out some tech before jumping in.
