Why does Snake have an eyepatch? I thought that was Big Boss's thing? Why does Snake look younger than in MGS4? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
I don't remember anything from MGS4 aside from cooking eggs and falling asleep during the seven hour ending.

I thought I'd read in some article that you'd be Solid Snake in this. Whatever!

Asleep? Jesus Christ, Blotus. You allergic to fantastic narrative dwarfing any RPG ever released and tying to together the most intricate storyline in gaming history? :-)
It's Naked Snake, hence the eye patch. I haven't played Peace Walker yet but judging from what I know about it and this trailer, this is set right after Peace Walker and seems to be leading up to the original Metal Gear on NES (MSX). Basically, it looks like the formation of Outer Haven and the transformation of Naked Snake (the good guy) into Big Boss (the bad guy; yes, I know they called him Big Boss in MGS3, I'm just using the names as a symbol of the transformation). Don't be surprised if the very beginnings of the Les Enfants Terrible project plays a big part in his transformation into a bad guy. That's Ocelot in the trailer and we should be seeing a decent amount of Big Mama, Zero, Signit, and Paramedic in the game if that's the case. Not sure how they're gonna work it but it also wouldn't surprise me to see Frank Jaeger, likely before he turns into Grey Fox.
The weirdest news coming out of this is that Kojima confirmed that Hayter will not be coming back to voice Snake because they "wanna go in a new direction". WTF? He's just a voice (a very iconic one), you can write whatever the hell you want. Smells like a Kojima tease/trick which he's famous for. But he'd certainly be taking it much further lengths if it is. Just doesn't make sense so there's a real shot he won't be in it. That would be a big mistake IMO

The story in these games is the worst.

Looks like Ground Zeroes is a prequel to Phantom Pain

No David Hayter voicing Snake
Why? Because according to Hideo Kojima, Konami and him are trying to “recreate the Metal Gear series”. He stated, “It’s a new type of Metal Gear game, and we want to have this reflected it the voice actor as well."
I think this is a bunch of bullshit, but time will tell. :p

It smells like it. But if that's the case, his Kojima's going a lot further than before for a hoax

New voice actor for Snake seems about as briliant as having Raiden being the main character of MGS2.

Which is, oddly enough, different than literal bullshit.
