I have this. It's pretty cool and should be right up my alley but I just can't seem to get into it.

Eh... it lacks the depth I was really hoping for.

It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but when I pick up a game like this I can't help but compare to Baldur's Gate, and Baldur's Gate it is not.

It seems to me this game is heavily depending on the modding community, which is cool ann all, but likely something I won't consume much of.

I'm only level 5, so I haven't put a ton of time into the game, but as Shin mentioned: I'm just having a tough time getting into it. I'll have a 4 hour stretch where I can play the game, but I keep playing for like 20 minutes, then getting up and going to do something else for a half hour, then come back to the game for a little. I get distracted with the side things (i.e. not progressing in levels much, not progressing the story), which is maybe why it feels like I've just been playing in a sandbox so far.

I'll update when I've actually progressed the story to some meaningful degree.

People have been gushing about this game -- it certainly good...reminds me of BG, PS:T, etc. But its a little shallow as far as actual gameplay goes.
