Some details from Famitsu:
http://www.siliconera.com/2015/02/09/pe ... -dungeons/
+ The protagonist is a second-year high school student (the new kid in town, may or may not be a thief)
+ Social links are in (in some form)
+ Not all dungeons are randomly generated (but some probably are)
+ Starts in Shibuya, set in other locations as well (Almost certainly a beach at some point)
+ Problems will be solved (but some probably won't be ... at least without a guide)

Persona is fun times. High school kids fighting demons is a winning scriptwriting formula, both commercially and in terms of stories to write and plots to mine - look at Harry Potter. Two very different series, but both beloved by the fanbases.

Shit, look at Buffy for that matter. There's some kind of undercurrent in the human psyche here I'm not qualified to psychoanalyze.

I wonder what you'd think of these games. They (3+4) were the pinnacle of ps2 era JRPGs in terms of sheer style and story. If you look at these games beside the bigger budget JRPGs of the time, you immediately notice the smaller scope (extremely few dungeons, enemy types, and just travel locations). The game creates its feeling of being enormous from each individual day being different and how you are playing over the course of several years. You choose what to do every day and you need to balance your grinding for levels with grinding for being awesome at high school. It's simultaneously so dumb and so incredible.

Persona fans have grown up..it would be nice if it moved to college at least
I liked P4, but the exploration was terrible and the story pretty weak. And if you are gonna include a dating sim, give me nudity (ya, ya...hence the college suggestion).
