The Shrine

This was a kickstarter for a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie that was started a few years back, one of the more high profile kickstarters I did not back way back then because with the exception of Mario 64 I fucking hated the late 90s 3D mascot platformer.

On the other hand, I was a big fan of those games. While Mario 64 was the most groundbreaking, Conker the most interesting in concept, Banjo Kazooie was the best of the era.
So I was more than a little excited at the prospect of a new game from former members of the Banjo Kazooie team.

Unfortunately, Yooka Laylee turned out much more like the shoddy sequel, Banjo Twooie.
