Did they ever announce an exact release date for the import GameCube? It'll obviously be before the American one (November 5th) but when? ...

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>If so, it'd likely be talked about before now, right? They already have those games ready, like the Luigi one, Smash Brothers2, Wave Race, etc. And they have 1080 in the works, Mario game, Metroid, etc. They said originally, what, July for the Japan release? If not, it'd have to be by August.... otherwise a November release in America seems too soon. And all they've been talking about after E3 is the American release date (which to me, means nuffin).</div>

Actually, if the Yen is weak enough, you might actaully be able to get it for less than MSRP in the US.

Of course, it's getting to Japan that's the killer part...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Actually, the import system costs LESS than the American one when you buy it in Yen (and not from import stores). That, and, since 99.9% of the games I buy are imports (seeing how rarely there's an american-MADE game i want).</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Well, mod chips and such are hard to find on modern systems. And since every game I buy is from Japan, owning the American systems seems pointless (especially in the case of PS2). And even then, The import (at its actual price) is under/at 200 bucks with the Yen value lately.</div>

Well, I do for N64 all the time (a system which thankfully needs no mechanical conversions or mods to work both ways). As for the others...

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I don't have an American PS2, and therefore don't own a single american game for it. But as of now, I wouldn't wanna in the first place. As for Dreamcast, the ratio is like 70+ imports to not even ten domestics. And for PSX, I DID buy almost all American in the olden days, but in the past year i've gotten maybe two games (like Lunar, etc). That is, of course, aside from all the domestic PSX/DC games I hope to buy now that the prices are dirt cheap (like when Saturn died).</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>That's a moot point, though. If there's a Capcom fighter that I'm in love with that much (like when MvC2 came out) there's no way I'm waiting three or more months for a modified American one JUST to save ten bucks.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "Arial bold"; text-align: left; '>I'm the otehr way around. I own 10 total Saturn imports and 3 DC ones. That's it</div>
