Nintendo's GameCube luanch takes a nose <a href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com/st ... ">dive.</a>

Everyone around the globe has been watching the news of the terrorist attack against the people of the US. From South Africa to Japan, Argentina to Russia, everyone's TVs were tuned to the news.

I can't say for sure this had an affect on the GC launch but I can't say it didn't, either. Sales are down everywhere. Not many have the mood to spend. Ah well.....we'll recover.</div>

Doubt it's the terrorists.  Japan's eocnomy has been slumping

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Call me crazy, but I don't see why the attack would somehow effect my need to purchase games to enjoy with friends. If anything, it should make you wanna savor life moreso.</div>

According to USA Todays investigation, the reasons were because of a recession in Japan, and a much less aggressive pre-launch marketing program</div>

I think a couple years ago the Nitendo guys were saying they were not affected by recession
