<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Did they fuck this game up in the translation process or something (even moreso than the obvious)? I just beat all 3 of Lavos' forms and I only healed once! <i>once!</i> This isn't New Game+ here either, this was the first time through! Jesus...

At least my team was fucking harsh as hell. Crono, Frog, and Magus. Hell yeah. They're straight solo-artists. None of that pussy Double Tech bullshit</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Oh, and the credits said the music was done by Nobuo Uematsu! What fucking bullshit!! It's Yasunori Mitsuda and he's a helluva lot better than that overrated fuck Uematsu!</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Did you max out your levels? If so that's why it was so easy. You're a god once you hit lvl 90 or so, and you're "the" god when your level is 99 (or 2 stars, take your pick) :P</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>jesus christ, not the first time through. my guys were all level 60 or so</div>

Odd, did Lavos just never use Dreamless on you?

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Even Grandstone should remove a nice chunk of your HP. Lavos's main power attacks are:

Destruction Rain from Heavens! (Form 1)
Doors of Doom (laser attack, Form 2)
Some blaze attack when he gets low

Those 3 are unavoidable, though they shouldn't do much damage to you if you're level 60.

But Dreamless and Grandstone packs quite a punch until you can get your physical/magical defense up. Dreamless is usually nasty on the fighters, while Grandstone hurts the casters.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "Times New Roman"; text-align: left; '>Dreamless was a joke. Grand Stone and Dark Star were what you had to watch out for. My main ending team was Crono, Ayla and Marle, oddly enough.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>All my guys had starred magic def's. The only thing that took off more than 130 damage or so was Dark Star.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Yeah, he's probably my favorite musician game-wise</div>

Odd, I remember Grandstone hits for more than that on characters with maxed stats

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Of course, Lavos' pattern is pretty random so he may have just never used his powerful attacks. Pretty sure Dreamless does more than 130 even through ** defense + Shell.

\</div>

Ok...

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>I finished the quick solo-Crono ending this morning. Here's his stats

Crono
lvl 59
HP 999, MP 99
AT: 242
DF: 217

PWR 90 HIT 25
SPD ** MGC 37
EV 30 STAM **
M DEF **

Equip:
Rainbow
Prism Helm
Ruby Armor
Prism Specs

There were a few attacks that Lavos threw out at me when I soloed him that he didn't use when I was fighting him with the party the first time that did fairly decent damage. Grandstone did about 401 (and like 480 with my Def Status removed). The Second Form has a Flame attack whose name I can't remember (there's a buncha little triangle shards floating up from the ground) and that did 300-400 when I fought him the first time without Ruby Armor on (with the Ruby Armor it only does like 30 or so though).

But the Core used Dreamless on me a couple times each time I fought him and it never did more than 130 damage, so you're mistaken there. Beats me as to why though. Maybe a difference between the original and the remix versions?</div>

Well it's been a long time, I just remember Grandstone will kill your casters if you're not very high

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I sort of assume Dreamless would do the same thing. Maybe not. My characters didn't have very pumped magic defense either. I don't think I had Prism Dress/Helms when fighting Lavos which makes a big difference.</div>
