FF11 sounds like it has problems...

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I gathered from the beta testers that right now in FF11, in order to just get more abilities you've kill stuff that are on a few day spawn (in game, I hope... which means a few hours) which are, not surprisingly, permanently camped by high levelers (guessing the item is tradeable).

Apparently the class change stuff is like that too. Want to be a summoner? Go kill some boss that drops the item, except you're not the only one who wants it...

I hope they do something about this horrible design. If you think camping's bad enough in MMORPG, at least in most MMORPG you didn't have to camp stuff just to be able to use your class abilities.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Did you just insinuate that Square would make a game that will force you to do incredibly dull, tedious, and brainless things just to develop your characters? You sir, don't know what you're talking about.</div>

Well, at least before you didn't have to pay $300 for it.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Guessing $50 for the game, $200 for hard drive (heard this from a friend that was thinking about getting it), and I'm not sure if $50 will cover keyboard + network card.

And yeah, to those who say the game's not out yet, you're right, but $300 is a lot to spend on a game trying it out.</div>

It's pretty reasonable IMO

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; padding: 0% 0% 0% 8%; '>Day base spawns is the most efficient way to control the amount of mud inflation that happens as time goes by.

It's not as if you don't get any abilities at all. You do, but if you wish to gain more ability, then you go and camp for it.

Without a spawn limitation, everyone would get the ability quickly.

Square might as well make these abilities inate in the first place and balance the whole game on the fact that every player has X abilities, resulting in a pretty dull game where everyone is pushed to advance in the same way.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>$300 I don't have to worry about spending because I'll never play one of those MMRPG's again, they'e by far the most boring type of game. In My Opinion</div>

People don't like a world where there's no hope of advancement

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I mean if your equivalent of Haste or Holy or whatever is on something that spawns every 8 hours you can bet it's going to be prema-killed, especially if the scroll you need to learn it is actually tradable.

I don't really see mudinflation as the harbringer of doom that so many people describe it as. If the game is at all balanced there still will be a line to separate the skilled and the not. People will only play so long without seeing any tangible reward, and if you've to camp 3 days for your Holy or Haste or whatever, that'd be pretty bad.</div>
