And what games did they base this decision on?

Mortal Kombat, Doom, Fear Effect, and the Capcom classic,...um..."The Resident of Evil Creek."

In a medium with thousands of titles, scores of platforms, and over a dozen genres, the ones chosen to represent the expressive potential of games were those made for shock value.

I must go weep now.
