<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>Same story, same mansion but with additional hallways, a new intro that's quite intense, new rooms, new "puzzles" (I prefer to call them - problem solving), rooms that used to be available like from the original RE require new keys....and the zombies are stronger and even after they've been "killed"....becareful later on *wink wink* .

Graphics are phenomenal, of course. Controls are the same, although the crapy D-pad on the gamecube controller are for Smurfs. It's a bit harder to control coz of the teeny weeny D-pad! >8^| New feature : you can switch targets in places where there are multiple monsters (I didn't play RE : Code Veronica if that had this feature already).

The realistic shadows are a welcome addition. It adds to the creepy factor as your shadows move about in the room, depending on your position to the candle or lights.

For RE vets, this is harder than the RE that you first played. You may not be as scared like before - but for newbies, they probably will be. =8^D

So far, the game is excellent! I need to get a controller converter for my Gamecube so I can play the PS2 Dual Shock controller on this game. It'll make things a lot easier as far as controlling the characters.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>That was the last RE game I played. Been a while too. Ah well....I can't play the game with this tiny D-pad. Need that conversion plug for the Dual Shock 2 .</div>

Playing it brought back old memories...some I wanted to forget...

<div style='font: 9pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I liked it a lot, actually. The spiffy graphics really enhance the atmosphere, and new additions managed to keep me on my toes the whole time. This was probably the most challenging RE for me so far, though that's mainly because a lot of events I expected to happen didn't (thanks for NOT saving me from the shotgun room, Barry), and some of the new things caught me off guard (wait a minute, I thought I killed you!). At 10 hours, this was also the longest RE game for me to beat. I made more box trips in this installment than in any of the others, plus I made some really stupid mistakes (stupid billiard ball puzzle).

But yeah, the Cube controller is tolerable, but it probably would have been better if I had an adapter for the PS2 controller. After playing three RE games with the Dual Shock, it's what I'm most used to.</div>

Ummmm, Shotgun?

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>It depends on WHEN you got to get the shotgun if Barry saves you.</div>

The thing is, the Gamecube control pad is used differently than the PSX one =)

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Think of it as more or less, an analog stick than a control pad, unlike the Dual Shock controller, don't take your thumb off of it. It's the same as the GBA/GBC controll pad.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>Plays better. That's all that matters. The Dpad for GC is a joke.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>When you're trapped, first open the door to the room again. Then run over to the door that leads to the hall. Barry will save you.</div>

That's just because you're using it wrong, the PSX one is more or less 4 different buttons, while the Gamecube one is more or less an analog pad. If you press each side like buttons, you're going to have a lot of trouble using it.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>For most people it works fine, but you kind of remind me of one of those people who held the N64 controller wrong.</div>

Look....it works just as well or BETTER than the GC controller, okay? It's the PS2 Dual Shock controller. Just accept that it's better for me and a lot of other people (hence the market for such device). Also....

<div style='font: 10pt "arial narrow"; text-align: left; padding: 0% 5% 0% 5%; '>Yep. It's the same one they use for the GBA, which is a decent size for a handheld. I can't imagine playing something like Street Fighter on the GC controller.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I agree, the D-pad was the reason I had so much trouble with the first two RE games in the first place, it took hours until I actually got the hang of it, and it was still a pain. Picked it up in about 10 seconds with the Analog stick, and yeah, it works great.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>The Controls work great for Street Fighter 2 on GBA, better than the SNES controller at least, I don't really see how the GBA being a handheld makes any difference in how the controls should be though.</div>
