CHRIST the event matches in Super Smash Melee are hard. Number 49 just took me an hour in itself. I've just finished 1-50 and gotten all the secret stages and characters doing all the other stuff in about 18 hours or so over the last week.&nbs

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, the game isn't easy in some places, particularly the events. I've currently got everyone but MewTwo and Mr. Game and Watch and beat Adventure and Classic with them all and all the target tests (which are HARD!). Have you gotten 1300+ in the homerun contest? Or lasted the 15-minute melee?</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>1628 ft for the homerun contest, couldn't do event 51 though...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I got over 1300 in the homerun (I can almost do it with Ganondorf - 1268), I've beaten 50 events, I beat the fifteen minute and 100 man melees and beat five enemies in Cruel. I'm off to try event 51 right now...
You don't have to beat Adventure/Classic/Target tests with everyone for Mr. G&W. Just pick your favorite and do it. I did the targets because they're shorter. Some of them are rough, but I thought on the whole they're easier than the original. You can get most targets in a variety of ways. Ganondorf's is nasty, Jigglypuff's is I think the hardest of all, and Roy's isn't too easy, but you'll get them all eventually
Getting ALL the secrets though is ridiculous. Some stuff is just maniacal...(see the spoiler box if you want to have things spoiled, straight from gamefaqs faqs)
<b>Spoiler Message:<b>
<span style="background: black; color: black;">For instance, getting all the match bonuses - for instance, Crazy Hand KO (Beat the Master Hand on Normal or higher Classic in under a minute, THEN beat the Crazy Hand which I haven't seen), Gigabowser KO (Get to Bowser on Normal or higher Adventure without continuing more than once, beat him in under a minute, then beat Gigabowser) , No-Damage Clear (just what it sounds like for Classic/Adventure/All-Star - choke), and Celebi Catcher (over 5000 kos on one person's data and even then less than a 1% chance per minute that he'll show up in a round?!?!)
There's a lot more stuff too - like being the target tests in a ridiculously small time period, and others that I'm not going to spoil for myself - I spoiled way too much to save time in getting all the characters/stages.</span></div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Got all 51 matches complete today. oh, and i exaggerated on that Ganondorf distance, it was only 1130</div>

<div style='font: 9pt Arial; text-align: left; '>That Crazy Hand battle is a fucking bitch. Only one of my friends could do it, and it required many, many, many attempts with Donkey Kong. I didn't think the Homerun Challenge was too bad, though. I got over 1600 with Yoshi after a few tries.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I've gotten 23 characters (no Mewtwo or G&W) and beaten Classic and Adventure with all of them, yet I only have 39 events unlocked, which I've beaten all (dear lord some of them are annoying). Do I have to play more multi for that? BTW, use Yoshi for the homerun contest, I got over 1500 easily</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Down and B when your ass is in the middle of their body. Man, once I figured out that move, Shittlypuff went from being the most useless character in the history of SSMB to a pretty decent one</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah, the game does have an insane level of challenge once you get up to the high levels, but it's not impossible.</div>

You need all the characters and non-bottom-row stages...

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Leave the Cube on for 5 hours with 4 controllers hooked up to get 20 hours combined versus play time for Mewtwo. It's easier than playing 700 vs. matches. Then play 200 vs. matches (just play 1-man survival and keep dying) to get four question mark stages, and get the Birdo or Pidgit trophy to get Mushroom Kingdom 2. Beat Classic or Adventure or Target Test with all characters to get Mr. G and W. Then you can play 40-50.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Well, it's just double the amount of time then. I advise leaving the GC on all night on vs. mode, use a 20-man survival match on Yoshi's Island. Make SURE you don't pick a dynamic stage like Great Bay coz your characters will keep dying and ruin the match.</div>
